Formula 1 has contracted a single supplier of tyres since the 2007 season. The supplier ( Pirelli since 2011 ) supplies 5 specifications of slick dry-weather tyres (C1, C2, C3, C4, C5), of which 3 compounds are provided at each race (as soft, medium and hard).
