The Frankenmuth Credit Union Event Center (formerly Birch Run Expo Center) was a 2,500 seat multi-purpose arena in Birch Run, Michigan. However, it was sold to Camping World in November 2020 and is now one of their largest showrooms. Prior to 2002, it was the first NHL Skate center. Due to lack of interest, it was converted into an events center.
The first Blade Show was held in 1982 as the American Blade Convention and Show in Cincinnati, Ohio. The magazine who hosted the show was known as 'American Blade' at the time. [3] In 1983 it became known as "The American Blade Collector's Show". In 1984 the name became "The Blade Super Show". In 1986 the show relocated to Knoxville, Tennessee. [4]

[1] WKTL was founded in 2021 by venue representatives from Canada, the United States of America, and the United Kingdom. It has 5 knife-throwing nations with membership.

The Gibraltar Trade Center started as an outdoor market, and auction house on Woodruff Road along the southern limits of Gibraltar, Michigan (hence the name) in the 1970's. It, later, relocated to a permanent location, inside of a former Joshua Doore warehouse on Eureka Road in Taylor in 1980, fully occupying the site by 1982.
In the 1980s, the magazine served as the launching point for an annual convention for knife collectors, the Blade Show; established a Cutlery Hall of Fame; and spun off a trade magazine, Blade Trade. In 1994, Voyles, then the sole owner, sold the publication and its properties to Krause Publications , [ 2 ] which increased its frequency to monthly.
