Wade-Walker Park is a 177-acre park with sports fields, hiking and biking trails, pavilions, and a fishing pier near Stone Mountain, Georgia, United States. [1] In 2005, the park underwent a $2.5 million upgrade. [1] The park is located at 5585 Rockbridge Road, at the intersection of Rockbridge with Stone Mountain Lithonia Road. [1]
The trail is a part of the North Carolina State Trails System, which is a section of NCDPR and, by January 2019, 669 miles (1,077 km) of trail had been designated as a part of the MST by NCDPR. The mileage of the circuit around the mountain is advertised as being 5 miles (8.0 km) long, however, the actual mileage is 3.88 miles (6.24 km). The Stone Mountain Memorial Association assumed full operation of the railroad in 1981. As the steam locomotives came in need of major repairs, the road opted to withdraw them and operate diesels.
