Alan Wolf Arkin (March 26, 1934 – June 29, 2023) was an American actor, filmmaker and musician. In a career spanning seven decades, he received numerous accolades , including an Academy Award , a BAFTA Award , a Golden Globe Award , and a Tony Award as well as nominations for six Emmy Awards .
The Baby Sitters was a music group that recorded four albums of children's folk songs from 1958 until 1968. [1] Its original members were ex-Weaver Lee Hays as composer, Doris Willens Kaplan as lyricist, actor Alan Arkin on guitar, and his wife Jeremy Yaffe Arkin.
Arkin was born in Brooklyn, New York City, to actor, director and writer Alan Arkin and his first wife Jeremy Yaffe. [2] Arkin joined his parents singing in the children's music group the Baby Sitters, along with Lee Hays and Doris Willens.
