This template can be used to create a horizontal bar chart, scrolling down a page, in a format which can be parsed by text-based web browsers. The data items can be simple numbers, or the result of calculations based on template parameters.
{{Brick chart}} is a simple block-oriented chart template. It assumes that everything must add up to total=100 (or specify), and fills in any missing amounts with "other". You can label (and optionally choose colors for) each item, and the labels can be wikilinks to relevant articles.
Adding a topical category to an article is easy. To add the category Toddler sports to an article, for example, open that article for editing, and type, near the bottom (more on that in a moment), the text [[Category:Toddler sports]]. Then do the standard stuff: Add an edit summary, preview your edit, and hit 'Publish changes'.

Every category should be a subcategory of another category. The top of the articles category hierarchy can be accessed at Category:Main topic classifications. If a suitable parent category likely exists but cannot be found, adding the {{Uncategorized}} tag is advisable. The category will then appear at Special:Uncategorizedcategories.
To hide a category, add the template {{Wikipedia category|hidden=yes}} to the category page (the template uses the magic word __HIDDENCAT__). This also places the page in Category:Hidden categories. Grouping articles into a category is not the same as making a list of articles. To edit a list of articles, you edit the list directly; but to place articles into a category, you edit an article and insert a category tag by placing [[Category:<category name>]] in the body of the text.
