Data are in millions of international dollars; they were compiled by the World Bank. The third table is a tabulation of the CIA World Factbook GDP (PPP) data update of 2019. The data for GDP at purchasing power parity has also been rebased using the new International Comparison Program price surveys and extrapolated to 2007.
The list is based on CIA World Factbook 2023 estimates, unless indicated otherwise. Many developing countries have far higher proportions of young people, and lower proportions of older people, than some developed countries, and thus may have much higher age-specific mortality rates while having lower crude mortality rates.
The table's data is from The World Factbook unless noted otherwise. It shows the male to female sex ratio by the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States. If there is a discrepancy between The World Factbook and a country's census data, the latter may be used instead.
