It was released as the lead single from their tenth studio album, Hardwired... to Self-Destruct (2016), on August 18, 2016, as a download. [1] [2] The song was first played live near the end of the band's show at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on August 20, 2016. [3]
Metallica released the first single from the album, "Hardwired", that same day; those who pre-ordered the album through the band's official website received an instant download of the song. The album artwork, created by Herring & Herring, [ 24 ] and the music video for "Hardwired" were also released. [ 25 ]

The WorldWired Tour was a concert tour by American heavy metal band Metallica in support of their tenth studio album Hardwired... to Self-Destruct, which was released on November 18, 2016. It is also their first worldwide tour after the World Magnetic Tour six years earlier.
Zazula was born on March 16, 1952, and was Jewish. [ 5 ] [ 6 ] His second wife, Marsha Zazula ( née Marsha Jean Rutenberg; 1952–2021), was his partner and co-founder at Megaforce Records. They were married from 1979 until Marsha's death on January 10, 2021. [ 7 ]

Burton's first recording with Metallica was the Megaforce demo.
