This worked for me as well. I uninstalled iCloud first. Then went into iTunes, signed in there, reinstalled iCloud and then was able to log in. I as well had to update my bios on my HP laptop which I think caused a logout of my iTunes and iCloud. Anyway, sorted.

Thank you for your help, I have access to both my appleid as well as my password. My problem is the two factor authentification, whereas the number they sent the verification code is no longer active and unusable therefore I can't bypass it.
