I would say yes....if it has more then one air chamber in it you will need to get a license I ask about my float tube and it was borderline....with the backrest tube....and was told that may change to needing one.... fountain square in Columbus on Morse road is the place to ask.
Pittsburgh resident Ian Davis launched an adventure Saturday which will occupy his time for much of this summer. Davis shoved off from Point State Park in Pittsburgh at he confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela River and started downstream in the Ohio River. He intends to paddle the entire length of the river to Cairo, Illinois.

There appears to be an extensive river system that lets into the bay in that area. I found a spot off 53 where I can park and get my raft in. Looks like the bass fishing could ...

71 posts · Joined 2022. #10 · Aug 20, 2022. Fished the Hoga from Kent by the cemetery up towards Rockwell. Got a nice smallmouth and a largemouth. Tons of laydowns. A ton of grass growing in the river. Need to bring my trolling motor next time so i can get as close to Rockwell as possible.
The bridge, or bridges, were dynamited prier to impounding the lake. All of the rubble was left. There was also some artisan wells on the north side of where the causeway now stands. Back in the 80's, Mosquito had a huge draw down when they built the two break waters at the opening of the state park marina.
Fact: Even rivers that are physically navigable only by canoe, kayak, and raft are still legally navigable. (The courts have also ruled that commercial recreational river trips qualify as commerce). Because they are legally navigable, such rivers are held in trust for the public by the states, for navigation, recreation, and fisheries.

My now 31 year old son (who grew up with this craft) and I regularly fish out of it on lake Erie (inshore areas!!) and it even handles a good chop up there,sometimes when other boats struggle ...
