Clay Evans (June 23, 1925 – November 27, 2019) was an African American Baptist pastor and founder of the influential Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois, famous for its gospel music infused Sunday service and choir. [1] Evans released his first musical project in 1984, What He's Done For Me with Savoy Records.
The Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship was established by Bishop Paul S. Morton Sr. in 1994 within New Orleans, Louisiana, [2] though it began as a movement within the National Baptist Convention, USA in 1992. [5] From 25,000 to 30,000 attended the first conference of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship in 1994. [9]
Organized in 1951 as the Interstate and Foreign Missionary Baptist Associational Assembly of America, this group is now known as the Interstate and Foreign Landmark Missionary Baptist Association of America. Their purpose is to encourage fellowship among Missionary Baptist churches that practice ministerial support by freewill offerings.

FC started in 1989 as a mission church of the First Baptist Church of Irving, Texas, and was initially known as "Fellowship of Las Colinas". [1] Approximately 150 members of First Baptist Irving relocated to the new church. FC initially met in a rented facility next to the Irving Arts Center and across from MacArthur High School.
