His son Charles J. White took over his medical practice in 1914, [1] and became Edivard Wigylesicorth Professor of Dermatology at Harvard and chair of the Harvard dermatology department. His grandson, James Clarke White, was also a professor at Harvard Medical School. [6] He died at his home in Boston on January 6, 1916. [4] [1] [7]
Bulkley was born in Manhattan.His father was Henry Daggett Bulkley. [1] In 1869, he obtained his M.D. from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York. [2] [3] He was house physician at New York Hospital and travelled to Europe to study dermatology in London, Paris and Vienna.
