Rio Bravo is a city in Webb County, Texas, United States. It lies16 miles (26 km) south of Laredo on U.S. Route 83 , [ 4 ] on the left bank of the Rio Grande ( Spanish : Rio Bravo ). Founded in 1982 by Cecil McDonald, a property developer who also founded neighboring El Cenizo , [ 4 ] Rio Bravo was incorporated as a city in 1989. [ 5 ]
Farm to Market Road 260 (FM 260) was located in El Paso County. The route ran along Country Club Road, as it provided primary access to the El Paso Country Club. [citation needed] No highway currently uses the FM 260 designation. FM 260 was designated on June 11, 1945, from US 80 (now SH 20) at White's Spur west to the New Mexico state line.
