Edit: just confirmed on my account, it does work for both. However, it seems like the viz app let's tou buy digital versions of manga that they do not have on the app to read. I only use the shonen jump add to read what is available through the $2 a month subscription. 4.
Mine expired yesterday and I kept trying to get it to work. Deleted viz and when searching to redownload, the shonen jump appeared under viz and I figured, what the heck. Got a free 2 weeks though haha. It shows up as a completely different subscription in the App Store than the other one. Both say shonen jump but different pictures.

shonen jump app I am looking to get a Kindle to read manga at night to help limit blue light consumption. Does anyone know if the shonen jump app can be installed on a Kindle device and if so which ones?
They are two different apps by two different companies. Mangaplus is mainly for simulpubs. And so, for most manga you can only read the latest few chapters. Viz's Shonen Jump gives you access to intermediate chapters as well if you have the subscription. The latest chapters are still free, same as Mangaplus and can be read without a subscription.
Like Komi can't Communicate. It’s mostly just the ability to buy more volumes digitally on the Viz app. The Shonen Jump and Manga Plus apps are better. See if there are any VIZ apps. Yeah you'll have to use the shonen jump app or manga plus on your phone or pc. However, if you pay the $2 for the shonen jump app, I don't see anything too wrong with sailing the seas for cbz files of chapters you were planning on reading on the app anyway.
