Sugilite (/ ˈ s uː ɡ ə l aɪ t,-dʒ i-/ SOO-gə-lyte, -jee-) [2] [3] is a relatively rare pink to purple cyclosilicate mineral with the complex chemical formula K Na 2 (Fe, Mn, Al) 2 Li 3 Si 12 O 30. Sugilite crystallizes in the hexagonal system with prismatic crystals. The crystals are rarely found and the form is usually massive.
Charoite is translucent lavender to purple in color with a pearly luster. Charoite is strictly massive in nature, and fractures are conchoidal. It has an unusual swirling, fibrous appearance, sometimes chatoyant, and that, along with its intense color, can lead many to believe at first that it is synthetic or enhanced artificially.

A silicate mineral is generally an inorganic compound consisting of subunits with the formula [SiO 2+n] 2n−.Although depicted as such, the description of silicates as anions is a simplification.
Precious opal displays play-of-color (iridescence); common opal does not. [6] Play-of-color is defined as "a pseudo chromatic optical effect resulting in flashes of colored light from certain minerals, as they are turned in white light." [7] The internal structure of precious opal causes it to diffract light, resulting in play-of-color ...
Rhodonite is a manganese inosilicate, with the formula (Mn, Fe, Mg, Ca)SiO 3, and member of the pyroxenoid group of minerals, crystallizing in the triclinic system. It commonly occurs as cleavable to compact masses with a rose-red color (its name comes from Ancient Greek ῥόδον (rhódon) 'rose'), often tending to brown due to surface oxidation.
Pink eudialyte in syenite from Poços de Caldas, Brazil. The white mineral is alkali feldspar, the black is aegirine, and the little brown bits are biotite.. Eudialyte, whose name derives from the Greek phrase Εὖ διάλυτος, eu dialytos, meaning "well decomposable", is a somewhat rare, nine-member-ring cyclosilicate mineral, which forms in alkaline igneous rocks, such as nepheline ...
Well known for its blue color, sodalite may also be grey, yellow, green, or pink and is often mottled with white veins or patches. The more uniformly blue material is used in jewellery, where it is fashioned into cabochons and beads. Lesser material is more often seen as facing or inlay in various applications.
