Hillcrest Hotel, also known as the Hillcrest Arms Apartment Hotel, is a historic building in Toledo, Ohio, United States. It has nine floors and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. It is located at 1601-1621 Madison Avenue. [1] [2] The Hillcrest was built in 1929.
The twelve story structure was constructed in 1906 by the Ohio Savings Bank and Trust Company at the corner of Madison Avenue and Superior Street in Toledo's business center. [2] The building was described in 1910 as "one of the finest structures in the state".

The new federal building would replace the overcrowded 1888 federal building located at Madison Avenue and St. Clair streets. Constructed between 1930 and 1932, the new building was celebrated as "a monument of efficiency" for combining all federal offices in Toledo under one roof.
The eight-story structure was constructed between 1891 and 1895 by the real estate man Horace Walbridge at the corner of Madison Avenue and Huron Street in Toledo's business center. [2] The building was designed by Edward Fallis, a prominent Toledo architect, who maintained his offices in the building from 1894 until his death in 1927.
The exterior of the building is covered in 293,000 square feet (27,200 m 2) of glass, with 4,400 vision panels and 4,200 spandrel units between floors, representing Toledo's history as the "Glass City," and O-I's presence in the glass industry.
