A house plan [1] is a set of construction or working drawings (sometimes called blueprints) that define all the construction specifications of a residential house such as the dimensions, materials, layouts, installation methods and techniques.
Floor plans use standard symbols to indicate features such as doors. This symbol shows the location of the door in a wall and which way the door opens. A floor plan is not a top view or bird's-eye view; it is a measured drawing to scale of the layout of a floor in a building.

The American System-Built Homes were modest houses in a series designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright. They were developed between 1911 and 1917 to fulfill his interest in affordable housing but were sold commercially for just 14 months.
