"The Fixer" is a song by the rock band Pearl Jam. Featuring lyrics written by vocalist Eddie Vedder and music co-written by drummer Matt Cameron and guitarists Mike McCready and Stone Gossard , "The Fixer" was released on August 24, 2009, as the first single from the band's ninth studio album, Backspacer (2009).
The song is sung when Kristoff brings Anna to his "family" - the trolls who treated Anna after Elsa's earlier accident. Kristoff seeks to have Pabbie treat Anna since he fears Elsa has injured her, but the trolls think Anna is his steady girlfriend and hence try to marry the two together.
The track is produced by DJ Mustard and Mike Free and interpolates Marvin Gaye's 1982 hit song "Sexual Healing". [2] The song came to fruition as a result of Nelly and DJ Mustard having the same publisher, who made sure all references to the interpolation contained within "The Fix" were cleared before it was released.
