"All Over the World" is a song by the Electric Light Orchestra (ELO). It is featured in the 1980 feature film Xanadu in a sequence with the film's stars Olivia Newton-John, Gene Kelly, and Michael Beck. The song also appears on the soundtrack album Xanadu, and was performed in the 2007 Broadway musical Xanadu.
Originally released exclusively in the band's home market (the UK), the album sold very well, becoming the ELO's first top-ten entry since Dino Records' compilation album The Very Best of the Electric Light Orchestra hit number 4 in 1994. All Over the World sold over 300,000 copies in the UK alone within a year and a half of its release.

[1] [2] Jeff Lynne and Richard Tandy were the only band members returning from the original incarnation of ELO. All songs played on tour, except "Rock 'n' Roll Is King" and "All She Wanted", were released on either the Electric Light Orchestra Live album [ 3 ] or the Zoom Tour Live VHS/DVD.
The album was ELO's first album of new material since 2001's Zoom. [27] The first track, and single, "When I Was a Boy" was made available for streaming on the same day and a music video for the song was also released. [ 27 ]
