Tampa Union Station is an Amtrak train station in Tampa, Florida.The station is located at 601 North Nebraska Avenue ().Built in 1912, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 as Union Railroad Station [3] The station building was closed in 1984 and reopened in 1998 after restoration.
Originally, Amtrak operated the Silver Star with Tampa and Miami sections that split in Jacksonville, with the Tampa section continuing on the old Atlantic Coast Line route through Orlando, and the Miami section traveling through Ocala and Wildwood over most of what was the original Seaboard route to Miami.
The Silver Palm was a daily passenger train route operated by Amtrak between Miami and Tampa in the U.S. state of Florida. [1] Service began in 1982 and ended in 1985. From 1996 to 2002, Amtrak reused the Silver Palm name to rebrand its New York–Miami Palmetto route under the Silver Service banner.
