Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek–Fort Story (JEBLC-FS), established October 1, 2009, is a joint base of the United States military that is located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The installation is made up of former U.S Army post Fort Story and Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek.
On October 1, 2009, Fort Story and Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek merged, and Fort Story officially became Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek Fort Story. Camp Pendleton is a 325-acre (1.32 km 2) state military reservation in Virginia Beach, Virginia, named after Confederate Brigadier General William N. Pendleton, who served as Robert E. Lee's chief of artillery during the American Civil War. It lies on the Atlantic coast slightly east of Naval Air Station Oceana.
