Part number Predecessor Obsolete? Description 555 timer IC: No Timer, pulse generation, and oscillator applications. 78xx: No Family of self-contained fixed linear voltage regulator integrated circuits. Current conveyor: Electronic amplifier with unity gain. Three versions of generations of the idealised device, CCI, CCII and CCIII. [2]
Signetics Corporation was an American electronics manufacturer specifically established to make integrated circuits. [1] Founded in 1961, they went on to develop a number of early microprocessors and support chips, as well as the widely used 555 timer chip.
English: The NE555 contains 24 bipolar transistors, two diodes and 15 resistors that form six functional blocks: Between the supply voltage VCC (+) and the ground GND (-) is a voltage divider consisting of three identical resistors which, when connected not from the outside, the two reference voltages ¹ / 3 VCC and ² / 3 VCC supplies.
Research and industry in this specialty continues to grow and prosper. Some examples of long-lived and well-known analog chips are the 741 operational amplifier, and the 555 timer IC. Power supply chips are also considered to be analog chips. Their main purpose is to produce a well-regulated output voltage supply for other chips in the system.

Note: 555 timer IC#Pinout writes them exactly how I want...a fully-spelled one-word name for each pin in all caps (except GND and VCC cause those are standard abbreviations). Em3rgent0rdr 02:59, 14 July 2022 (UTC) another inconsistency that is bugging me is how sometimes the trigger pin is written without a line over it but sometimes is.
