John Elder Robison (born August 13, 1957) [1] is the American author of the 2007 memoir Look Me in the Eye, detailing his life with undiagnosed Asperger syndrome and savant abilities, and of three other books. Robison wrote his first book at age 49.
It featured a young man with Asperger's syndrome. The book In a Different Key: The Story of Autism by John Donvan and Caren Zucker was released in January 2016. The authors found and interviewed the patient Leo Kanner first recognised as having autism, Donald Triplett. It was nominated for the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction. [28]
