Erpe-Mere United is a Belgian association football club based in Bambrugge, East Flanders. The club has matricule number 5343 and the club's colours are black and yellow. They currently play in East Flanders Division One in the Belgian Provincial leagues. They play their home games at the Complex Lindekouter in Bambrugge.
Erpe-Mere is located north of the foothills of the Flemish Ardennes, in the region Denderstreek. The area north of the N9 (Aalst-Ghent) is between 10 and 30 meters high, the area between the N9 and E40 (Brussels-Ghent) is between 25 and 50 meters high and the area south of it has hills peaks up to 80 meters.
Narayan Phadke was born to Sitaram Phadke and his wife in the town of Karjat, Ahmadnagar district in 1894. He had a Master of Arts degree from Bombay University.In later years as a writer, Phadke was commonly known by his first and middle initials in Marathi, 'Na Si'.
Erpe was first mentioned in a document of 1057, although the village is probably much older. The name is derived from the word Erpo. In the 18th and 19th centuries the population of Erpe grew steadily. In 1769 there were 1032 inhabitants, in 1801 there were 1638 inhabitants, and by 1893 the village had 2394 inhabitants.
