David Lloyd Blackwood CM OOnt RCA (November 7, 1941 – July 2, 2022) was a Canadian artist known chiefly for his intaglio prints, often depicting dramatic historical scenes of Newfoundland outport life and industry, such as shipwrecks, seal hunting, iceberg encounters and resettlement. He also created paintings, drawings and woodcuts.

Gerald Leopold "Gerry" Squires, CM RCA (November 17, 1937 – October 3, 2015) was a Canadian artist. Best known for painting dramatic landscapes in acrylic and oil, Squires also produced major work in sculpture, lithography and stained glass.
However, he quickly became interested in Fine Arts, especially painting. He was encouraged to paint by Lawren P. Harris and Alex Colville. [2] [3] From 1957 to 1959, Pratt studied at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland. [5] During the summers, he returned to Newfoundland to work as a construction surveyor at the American Naval Base at Argentia.
Kym Greeley (born 1973) is a Canadian painter based in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, known primarily for her screen-printed paintings of the province's landscape and roads. In 2011, she was longlisted for the Sobey Art Award, one of Canada's most prestigious contemporary art awards. [1]
