Bennett is a Statutory Town located in Adams and Arapahoe counties, Colorado, United States. [1] The town population was 2,862 at the 2020 United States Census with 2,443 residing in Adams County and 419 residing in Arapahoe County.
It then heads northward into the town of Bennett, where it abruptly turns eastward and begins a short concurrency with SH 36. It then heads back northward slowly into a mass of rectangular fields, crossing the Adams–Weld county line. It continues northward in the same terrain, crossing numerous county roads, to its north end at SH 52. [2]

The name changed to "Bennett" in 1910, after Atlantic & Yadkin Railroad Superintendent J.M. Bennett. Bennett was incorporated in 1915, with H.A. Denson, a physician , being the first mayor. The new town was to be a city and was built with 80-foot-wide (24 m) streets and 10-foot (3 m) alleys laid out in a grid.
