Gethsemane Lutheran Church is a historic Lutheran church in downtown Austin, Texas. It is designated as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places along with the neighboring Luther Hall. The building currently houses the offices of the Texas Historical Commission.
Leonidas D. Carrington (1816–1897) and his wife, Martha Hill Carrington (1824–1859) came to Austin from Mississippi in 1852. He began to accumulate real estate, and on Sept. 15, 1853, bought this block from James M. W. Hall, Austin hotelman, and ten days later opened a mercantile store on Congress Avenue intersection with Pecan Street (now 6th Street).

It was the first house in Austin the Dallas-based company worked on. Goodhall Wooten died on January 30, 1942, and Ella became the sole owner of the house. Ella sold the house on June 24, 1944. On October 20, 1953, the property was sold to Christian Faith and Life Community, who operated the house until 1972 as a student residence hall.
Walter Webb Hall (WWH) is a building on the University of Texas at Austin campus, in the U.S. state of Texas. The building was completed in 1973, [1] and has housed the campus club and faculty center. [2] [3] The Texas Historical Association started renting space in the building in 2015. [4]
Waggener Hall is an academic building located on the University of Texas at Austin campus. [1] This building houses the Classics Library on the first floor. The Classics and Philosophy Departments are based in Waggener Hall, as well as the Jefferson Scholars Program. It is named for Leslie Waggener, the first president of the university. [2]
