Is it really a reference to the play, or merely horses in general? As I understand it, the singer from that band got beaten up by a horse. She fell off a horse in 2001 and came to make one of the best albums called 'Misery is a Butterfly' which was inspired by her falling off the horse. And they havea song called Equus. -Meghan.
