The Vyatka or Viatka (Russian: Вятская лошадь, vyatskaya loshad) is an endangered breed of horse native to the former Vyatka region, now the Kirov Oblast of the Russian Federation. It is mainly found there and in the Udmurt Republic . [ 3 ]
The troika was a part of both urban and rural culture. The horses usually driven in a troika were generally plain and rather small; for example the Vyatka horse was not taller than 14.1 hands (57 inches, 145 cm). However, the wealthy preferred to use the elegant Orlov Trotter.

Vyatka (Russian: Вятка) was a brand of Soviet scooters manufactured by the Vyatskiye Polyany Machine-Building Plant in Vyatskiye Polyany between 1956 and 1979. The brand name was derived from both the river upon which it was located and a breed of horse native to the region.
