Bryce first appeared on the 1920 U.S. Census as Bryce/Precinct 17 of Graham County [6] and in 1930 as District 17. [7] It reported a majority White population in 1930. [8] With the combination of all Arizona county precincts and districts into three districts each in 1940, it did not formally appear again until 2010, when it was made a census-designated place (CDP).
