The red shiner or red-horse minnow (Cyprinella lutrensis) is a North American species of freshwater fish in the family Cyprinidae. They are deep-bodied and laterally compressed, [2] and can grow to about 3 inches (7.6 cm) in length. For most of the year, both males and females have silver sides and whitish abdomens.

The average adult redfin shiner is 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) long. The redfin shiner is easily identifiable with its deeply compressed body, large eyes and attractive colors. Its body is a light olive color with a dusky stripe along the spine of the fish. The sides often appear very silvery with a reddish tint in the breeding males.
Another fishing area is near Tinicum and Prospect Park on the west side of Route 420 which provides access to the lagoon areas of the refuge. Common fish in this area are striped bass, carp, catfish, panfish, and tiger musky. However, due to the preserve's urban location, the stream has been polluted with various industrial chemicals.
Hyner View State Park is a 6-acre (2.4 ha) Pennsylvania state park in Chapman Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania in the United States. Moon Lake Recreation Area has diverse habitats from upland forests to low-lying wetlands near the lake. The upland forests are part of the Appalachian-Blue Ridge forest ecoregion. [3] Tree species include hickories, red maple, and tuliptree (Liriodendron tulipifera). On the lower slopes, red and white oaks are present.
