Bobcats make seven distinct sound such as purring, hissing, growling, yowling, meowing, screaming, and snarling. They make this sound to either communicate with their mate or kittens, to hunt, or even for defense. For example, a bobcat will snarl when they are extremely angry or afraid, and meow when they are lonely or hungry.
