Kate Drohan (born December 24, 1973) is an American softball coach and former collegiate softball player who is the current head coach of the Northwestern Wildcats softball team in the Big Ten Conference. [1] She led Northwestern to the 2006 Women's College World Series and a national runner up finish in 2022.
For 1,155 games, Drysdale headed the Northwestern softball program and amassed a 640-512-3 record while sending 5 squads to the NCAA Tournament. Drysdale left Northwestern after the 2001 season to pursue a coaching certification program with the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), but her legacy continues to live on at Northwestern.

The Northwestern softball program began in 1976 and currently competes at Sharon J. Drysdale Field, previously known as Anderson Field. The ballpark was renamed for NFCA Hall of Fame mentor Sharon J. Drysdale upon her retirement in 2001. Drysdale served as the Wildcats' head coach for 23 seasons and amassed a 640–512–3 record. [68]
After graduating from Alabama, Locke served as an assistant softball coach at Northwestern State from 2013 to 2014, [8] and an assistant softball coach at Texas Tech University from 2015 to 2018. On August 27, 2018, Locke returned to Northwestern State and was once again named an assistant softball coach for the Lady Demons.
