Rockville State School is a government primary (Prep-6) school for boys and girls at 3 Holberton Street (10] [11] It includes a special education program. [10] In 2017, the school had an enrolment of 175 students with 16 teachers (13 full-time equivalent) and 14 non-teaching staff (10 full-time equivalent). [12]

The school was established on 1 January 1982 [5] as Christian Outreach College Toowoomba at the back of Highlands Church, [6] [1] which was founded in 1978. [ 7 ] The school changed its name from Christian Outreach College Toowoomba to Highlands Christian College on 21 January 2019.
