Odd Fellows Cemetery was a 32 acre cemetery located North and South of Diamond Street and between 22nd and 25th Street [1] in the North Philadelphia West neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was established in 1849 by the Odd Fellows fraternal organization for the burial of their members.
The 30-acre Odd Fellows' cemetery, which opened in 1865 and is overseen by Harmony Lodge of Odd Fellows, is located at the western end of Broad Street. It is one of only two elaborate Victorian garden cemeteries in Schuylkill County. Zion's cemetery was opened in 1876.
The contributing sites are St. Jerome's Cemetery (c. 1837), Odd Fellows Cemetery (1865), and the foundation of the Fitzpatrick Shirt Factory (1888). Contributing structures include three runs of iron steps and five bridges. Located in the district and separately listed are the Anthracite Bank Building, George Ormrod House, and Tamaqua station. In addition to his service in the United States House of Representatives, he was also member of the Pennsylvania State Senate, Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Northumberland County and the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia. Troutman died in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, and is interred at the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
