Elizabeth Hamilton (née Schuyler / ˈ s k aɪ l ər /; August 9, 1757 – November 9, 1854 [2]) was an American socialite and philanthropist. She was the wife of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton and was a passionate champion and defender of Hamilton's work and efforts in the American Revolution and the founding of the United States.
She teamed up with four other Eliza actresses from Hamilton productions on Miranda's Hamildrops in 2018. The track, "First Burn", featured Lawson along with Julia K. Harriman, Shoba Narayan, Rachelle Ann Go, and Arianna Afsar. [9] Miranda explained on Twitter that the song was the original version of a song sung by Eliza in the musical. [10]

Eliza is introduced to Hamilton by her sister Angelica during a ball held while the Army is stationed in Morristown for the winter in early 1780. They immediately start a correspondence, and Hamilton wastes no time in asking Eliza's father, Philip Schuyler , for his permission to marry his daughter, which is granted.
