Founding bass player Annette Zilinskas joins Susanna Hoffs, Vicki Peterson, and Debbi Peterson of The Bangles for a live show in 2016 from the Whisky A Go Go.. A native of Southern California, Zilinskas was born in Van Nuys and was recruited into The Bangs, which later became The Bangles, as bass guitarist.
The early Bangles lineup of Susanna Hoffs (vocals/guitars), Vicki Peterson (guitars/vocals), Debbi Peterson (vocals/drums) and Annette Zilinskas (vocals/bass) recorded an EP in 1982 and released the single "The Real World". For the release of the EP, they played in the Lhasa club in Hollywood.
In 1983, Steele replaced original bassist Annette Zilinskas as a member of the Bangles. Steele joined just in time to play on the band's first full-length album, All Over the Place. She remained with the Bangles throughout the high point of their career, contributing as bassist, vocalist, and songwriter until the band's dissolution in 1989.
A group photograph on the back of this reissued single showed Bangles' bass player Annette Zilinskas, who had recently joined the band, although she did not play on the record. The B-side, "Call On Me", was co-written by Hoffs, Peterson, and David Roback , a friend of Hoffs' brother and lead singer of fellow Paisley Underground band Rain Parade .

It is the first album by the group since their 1998 reunion. It is also the final album to feature bassist and vocalist Michael Steele, who left the band following the promotional tour and was subsequently replaced by Annette Zilinskas, the group's original bassist whom Steele had replaced.
The whole five-song EP was eventually reissued as part of the Bangles' 2014 compilation, Ladies and Gentlemen... The Bangles!. This would be the group's only release to feature original bassist Annette Zilinskas, who left in early 1983 and was replaced by Michael Steele, and did not record with them again until the 2018 multigroup album 3 x 4.
