Major John Strange Spencer-Churchill DSO TD (4 February 1880 – 23 February 1947), known as Jack Churchill, [a] was the younger son of Lord Randolph Churchill and his wife Jennie, and the brother of former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Sir Winston Churchill.
Winston's brother, Jack, was born there in 1880. [7] For much of the 1880s, Randolph and Jennie were effectively estranged, [ 8 ] and the brothers cared for by their nanny, Elizabeth Everest . Jack's younger brother, Thomas Churchill, also served with and led a commando brigade during the war.
