Idols South Africa VII was the seventh season of South African reality interactive talent show based on the British talent show Pop Idol.It premiered on 5 June 2011. The judges returned with the addition of Unathi Msengana in the place of Mara Louw and were supported by a guest judge in every casting city.
Two winners of the series were also able to win for another regional title: Kurt Nilsen of Norway also won World Idol in 2003, and Hady Mirza of Singapore also won Asian Idol in 2007. In addition, Jason Hartman and Sasha-Lee Davids of South Africa were the only two finalists to be declared as co-winners of the format.
The eighteenth season of Idols premiered on 17 July 2022 and ended on 13 November 2022 on Mzansi Magic. The season was won by Thapelo Molomo, while Nozi Sibiya was the runner-up.
