According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 25.6 square miles (66 km 2), of which 24.33 square miles (63.0 km 2) is land and 1.27 square miles (3.3 km 2) is water. The Cache la Poudre River runs through the western and southern sides of town.
