On August 22, 1977, UNCW was authorized to offer its first graduate programs at the master's level. The university offers 55 bachelor's degrees, 35 master's degrees and four doctoral degrees: Ed.D. Educational Leadership; Ph.D. Integrative, Comparative and Marine Biology; Ph.D. Psychology and a [9] Doctorate in Nursing Practice.
Although UNCW was established in 1947, the first bachelor's degrees were not awarded until the mid 1960s. In 1979, the Department of Business and Economics became the Cameron School of Business. All of Cameron School of Business' degree programs are fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). [2]
