The University of Mataram (Indonesian: Universitas Mataram) (Unram) is a public university in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. It was established on October 1, 1962. Its current rector is Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., PhD. [2] The university faculty has 1,339 members, including 86 professors.
With those faculties, local public figures and Jambi provincial government were seeking to establish a university in their own region through Panitia Persiapan Pendirian Universitas Negeri Jambi (The Establishment of Jambi State University Preparatory Committee).
