Charles-François, marquis de Bonnay (22 June 1750 – 25 March 1825) was a French military, diplomatic, and political figure of the French Revolution. Biography
On 26 July the following year he was badly wounded at the naval Battle of Ushant. In 1792 he joined the 8th Paris Volunteer Battalion and on 1 January 1793 he was elected captain and made lieutenant-colonel. He fought with that battalion in the 1792 and 1793 campaigns in the Army of the North and the War in the Vendée.
