Erected in 2003, the $72.5 million building Floyd Hall is 343,000 square feet (31,900 m 2 ) and features two three-story 600-foot (180 m) wings connected by a middle glass enclosure.

After receiving its charter from the state in 1855, the institute changed its name to Kalamazoo College. Oakland Drive Campus is a campus of Western Michigan University. It is the university's newest land acquisition. The campus, acquired in 1998, was originally state property used by the Kalamazoo Regional Psychiatric Hospital. The hospital is still leased to the state and remains in operation, although in a more limited role.
The college has four campuses in Kalamazoo, (West Campus, East Campus, Parkview Campus and Oakland Drive Campus) as well as several regional locations throughout Michigan and two in Florida. West Campus, located just west of downtown, has the largest concentration of university students, programs and school services.

University Arena is a multi-purpose arena on the campus of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan, United States.Located in Read Fieldhouse, the arena opened in 1957 and is home to multiple Western Michigan Broncos athletic teams, including men's and women's basketball, women's gymnastics, women's indoor track and field, and women's volleyball.
