84 Lumber is an operated American building materials supply company. Founded in 1956 [ 2 ] by Joseph Hardy , it derives its name from the unincorporated village of Eighty Four, Pennsylvania , a census-designated place 20 miles (32 km) south of Pittsburgh , where its headquarters are located.
Riderwood was founded by the E. E. Jackson Lumber Company and was located on the Alabama, Tennessee and Northern Railroad. Riderwood was formerly an incorporated town. [3] It was also home to a company store, theater, and hotel. [4] The Alabama Department of Public Health carried out malaria control operations in Riderwood beginning in 1918. [5]
Yarbo is a shortened form of Yarborough and is named for the first postmaster, Robert E. Yarborough. [2] A post office operated under the name Yarbo from 1917 to 1954. [3] In 1918, the Ingram-Day Lumber Company, based in Lyman, Mississippi, purchased the Yarborough Lumber Company's plant in Yarbo.
Chapman is located on the former Louisville and Nashville Railroad and was founded as a lumber town. It was the headquarters of the W. T.
