Ghakhar Mandi (Punjabi: گکھڑ) is a city in the Gujranwala District of Punjab province in Pakistan. [2] It is located between Wazirabad to the northwest and Gujranwala to the southeast. It is central to 33 villages, and the home of Pakistan's second-largest electrical grid.
In 1993, Hafizabad District was formed out of Gujranwala District's Hafizabad Tehsil. Hafizabad District was inside Gujranwala Division by the time of the 1998 census.
