The UNSW School of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is part of the UNSW Faculty of Engineering and was founded in 1991 out of the former Department of Computer Science within the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. [1] [2] It is the highest ranked [3] and largest School of its kind in Australia.
The UNSW COMPUTING ProgComp [76] – Since 1997, The School of Computer Science and Engineering (UNSW COMPUTING) has run the UNSW COMPUTING ProgComp. The Faculty was established as Faculty of Computing and Information Technology in 1990 following a merger between Monash University and the Chisholm Institute of Technology, later it was renamed to the Faculty of Information Technology. It was founded by Clifford John Bellamy, who became the founding dean and left the office in 1996.
