Rose Valley is a small, historic borough in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States.Its area is 0.73 square miles (1.9 km 2), and the population was 913 at the 2010 census. [4]
Water mills were established along the creek early in its history, including the Providence Mills gristmill in 1718, and the Old Mill in Rose Valley in 1789. Providence Mills, located in present-day Ridley Creek State Park and now known as Sycamore Mills, expanded to include a nail factory and a saw mill which operated until 1901. [11]
When Will Price came to Rose Valley there were twelve small houses, two old mills, and a historic stone house once occupied by Bishop White. Price rehabilitated some buildings, slip covered others and, eventually, put up completely new houses. The old bobbin mill was given a quaint rustic porch.
