Genting Dream is a cruise ship of Resorts World Cruises.The ship has a length of 335.33 metres (1,100 ft 2 in), a width of 39.7 metres (130 ft 3 in), a size of 150,695 GT, and a top speed of over 23 knots (43 km/h; 26 mph).
Dream Cruises was a cruise line owned by Genting Hong Kong. Genting announced the introduction of Dream Cruises in November 2015 in Guangzhou as an Asian luxury cruise line. It debuted in November 2016.
It was announced on 13 January 2023, that the ship would be renamed to Resorts World One and would join Resorts World Cruises. The ship entered service on 17 February, briefly taken over cruises for Genting Dream which headed to dry dock. On 1 March 2023, the ship repositioned to Hong Kong where it sailed 2,3 and 5 night cruises. [21] [22]
The Global class is a class of cruise ships constructed by the German shipbuilder MV Werften for Genting Hong Kong. With Genting’s bankruptcy in 2022, the future of the Global class was in doubt. [6] On November 16, 2022, Disney Cruise Line confirmed it acquired the unfinished Global Dream. [4] [7] The second unfinished ship has been scrapped.
