The John R. Wheeler Jr. House, also known as Immaculate Conception Convent, is a historic building located in Dunlap, Iowa, United States. It was built in 1897 by J.R. Wheeler Sr. for his son and his new wife. Wheeler Sr. was a Civil War veteran, state legislator, local lumber merchant.
Dunlap is located in the northeast corner of Harrison County and a small portion of the city extends north into Crawford County. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.15 square miles (2.98 km 2), of which 1.13 square miles (2.93 km 2) is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 km 2) is water.
