The water-cooled SOHC two-cylinder EH was first seen installed in the first generation Honda Acty truck introduced in July 1977, and later in the 1985 Honda Today. It was based on one bank of cylinders from the horizontally opposed four used on the Honda Gold Wing GL1000 motorcycle, with which it shared the 72 mm (2.83 in) bore.
The Honda CM400 is a street bike produced by the Honda Motor Company from 1979 to 1982, part of a series of motorcycles with the prefix 'CM' using various engine capacities. It was a precursor to the Honda Rebel series of motorcycles. It was equipped with electric start and electronic ignition.

Honda presented the EVO6 concept motorcycle at the Tokyo Motor Show 2007. Based on the flat-six 1,832 cubic centimetres (111.8 cu in) engine from the Goldwing, the EVO6 produces more power than its touring ancestor. The EVO6 features Honda's Human Friendly Transmission (HFT) that can be operated in a fully automatic mode or a six-speed manual mode.
